May 12, 2008 Dear Prayer Partners, TA truck stop
employee Laura Joe has an unspoken request for her 12 year-old daughter,
Mariah. TA truck stop
employee Phyllis’ dad recently passed away. Her parents live with
Phyllis and had been married for 40+ years. Please pray for the whole
family. I (Chaplain Sam)
have glaucoma in both eyes.
It has progressed the most in the right eye.
Unfortunately, I am not a candidate for treatment because of
acute ommetaphobia – an intense, uncontrollable, and illogical fear of
having anything touch my eye.
Without treatment I will lose my sight. Please keep me in prayer
for a resolution to this challenge. The staff and
volunteer chaplains at the Elkton chapels thank you for your faithful
prayers for us and for the visitors who come into the chapels.
May God bless you and yours richly! In His name,
